To Love and Die (Tuesday, December 30, 2008)

This evening, I was fortunate enough to catch the premier of To Love and Die on USA Network. This two hour pilot tells the story of 30-something Hildy, who, despite being gorgeous, smart, and talented, has serious relationship issues, which according to her psychiatrist, is a result of her abandonment issues with her father, whom she has never met. Using her creepy stalking skills, she manages to track him down, and it turns out, he's got a contract killing business. Hildy proceeds to insert herself into her father's life, and decides that contract killing is the career for her. It's funny, and a little bizarre, but just terrific fun — the plot is the sort of stuff I dream about doing. I really hope that USA continues this series, because it has all the potential to be as great as Monk and Psych.

Two things:
1.When I saw the title for this post on Google Reader (without seeing the content), I was a little terrified.

2. All the "stuff" you "dream about doing????" After that previous moment of relief, I am now genuinely terrified. ;)

Yeah, she can pick locks, jump onto the back of moving vehicles without getting killed, she's got a freakin' remote control bumble-bee, she scales the walls of buildings. She's also a really good shot with a paint ball gun. I don't know about you, but I always have dreams about living the secret agent lifestyle.

Ok...that I can get on board with. I was concerned more with you wanting to sneak around killing people.

I'd rather be Dexter. ...or Jack Bauer!

-- Matt (12/31/2008 7:55 PM)

Matt, I don't think you'd make a very good remorseless psychotic killer. Dexter is just sort of creepy. And Jack is WAY tougher than you. You're much more like... Happy Gilmore.

-- Brian (12/31/2008 8:02 PM)

Yeah, I like Happy too.

LMAO @ Matthew :)

Dexter rocks Brian! ok, Jack Bauer too...
