:hover CSS in Internet Explorer (Monday, February 6, 2006)First, Go Steelers!!!!! Second, I discovered something interesting with regard to CSS today. While it's obvious that any element should be allowed to specify :hover in CSS, Internet Explorer doesn't seem to like that — it only wants you to be able to hover on links. So I found a wonderful little hack to cause IE to behave properly. It is apparently as simple as downloading her little hover.htc, sticking it in your stylesheet directory, and then adding behavior:url("hover.htc"); to your body { } class definition. Of course, I don't feel the need to change the hover properties of my site... Still, it's nice to share my discoveries with the world — and drive additional traffic to the nice folks who deserve it.
