NAT for VMWare (Wednesday, August 24, 2005)

In other news, it occurred to me that you can't just set up NAT for VMWare in the current console and expect it to stick after you've rebooted, unless you persist it in some way. This falls under the "duh" category. Luckily, the skills which I once had mastered, and have since totally forgotten, have been captured on About Debian's Linux Proxy Server page.

And the last tidbit for the evening: you'll note that I've joined the Twenty-First Century, and have expanded the width of the site to 740 pixels, from the old standard of 600. No longer will I support the one person on the planet who is still running at 640 x 480 resolution, and I'm going to force the two or three other people on the planet who are running at 800 x 600 to maximize their browser windows. And anyway, people running on hardware that old are probably using a text-based browser like lynx which doesn't pay attention to table sizes anyway.
