Bouncing Off the Walls (Wednesday, June 2, 2004)

Ugh. Why are contractors either late or don't show up? Claire came for lunch, so that was nice. I didn't really do any work today, so that sort of sucks — at least for work. I went and saw The Day After Tomorrow with Elaine this afternoon, which was interesting, if not a very good movie. After that, we went to Don Pablo's, but I didn't have much of an appetite, so I just watched her eat her dinner, and just had a side of refried beans. Of course, my stomach is protesting even that small amount. I got back around 9:00, and I've just been waiting to hear from Claire since then. I gave her a call about ten minutes ago, and she's done with Justin for the night, so with any luck, I'll be seeing her here pretty soon.

I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
I threw away my reputation
One more song for the radio station

I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
Waking up on the bathroom floor
Pull myself back together just to fall once more

And my heart's still beating out of my chest
And this town is still making me sick
And every penny from my last paycheck
I've blown on you

I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
So go ahead and take a picture
And hang it up so you can tear me down

I don't care
Cause I'm still here
And I've got nothing left to lose
With all the years I wasted on you

Mommy and Daddy got the best cocaine
Ritalin's never gonna feel the same
Twenty-four hours on an empty brain
I got my finger on the trigger and you're in my way

I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
I threw away my reputation
One more song for the radio station

I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
I'm bouncing off the walls again
I'm looking like a fool again
I'm bouncing off the walls again
