Another Bad Day (Friday, May 7, 2004)

Okay, my mistake — Claire doesn't have a "just dating" life. Apparently she and Bob are "official". Why doesn't that surprise me. I'm starting not to care. It's just not worth the stress. So yesterday, I worked, went to a long architecture meeting, and then bugged out early to attempt to study for my software engineering exam. I gave up on that after about an hour, and then Claire called, so we decided to meet for coffee. As usual, we talked about our relationship, something I need to stop bringing up. It'll get easier with time. Then I went to my exam — almost a half hour late, because there was an accident on Braddock Road. But that's okay, the exam turned out to be really easy. I was the second one done — the first one done left before I got there. I also got back our term paper, and we got a 91 on it, so that's not bad. It looks like I'll be getting an A- or B+ in this class. It sucks for my GPA, but oh well, I'm just glad it's over. After class, I stopped by Charlie's place and he told me I got an A in linguistics, even if my last paper was pretty weak. After that, Ed, Seth, and I went to Bridges, where Ed proceeded to get us all hammered. I didn't think I had that much, but apparently I did. So Claire came and picked me up, we went back to my place, and I layed on the floor and moaned, while she ate my food and drank my alcohol (though she can never seem to actually finish a whole bottle), and then she tried to ditch me. Fortunately, after being sick a few times, I started to feel a little better, and she drove me back to Bridges to get my car. I came home and collapsed. I still feel pretty awful this morning, but oh well, I'll live. I have a lot of work to do today, and I just don't feel like it. Anyway, I better at least make an attempt at it...
