Broken Furnace (Wednesday, March 31, 2004)

Well, it's official. My furnace does not work. After two weeks of freezing my ass off, I went and opened it up, and saw that while it has gas and power, it has no spark, and therefore no heat. So I called the furnace company, who informed me that it'll be $60 just for them to come out and look at it, and then, since it's most likely the ignitor, another $90 to replace it (though the part itself might be under warranty). Ahhh, happy homeownership. I decided not to go to work today... and since the furnace people are coming tomorrow, I guess I won't be going tomorrow either. On the bright side, I got an e-mail back from my Satan professor and he was okay with the results my group sent him last night. Now, if only I can get my house cleaned, and my refund from the IRS, I'll be in pretty good shape.
